Description

Alder is known for its subtle grain pattern and its prominent knotting, which gives the wood a rustic look. Its natural color is light to medium yellow with orange, brown, and pink undertones.

We offer Alder shelves in a variety of stain colors as well as with a "natural" finish, which is simply a clear coat. Browse below to see all your stain options.

Good experience but took some convincing with service to send me a second set of samples. I want to order Alder Nature but worried about the reviews of cracks and knots. The sample looks clean but I will not be happy if I can't get the same look with my order.

Very helpful

Excellent! Ordering furniture online is challenging and finding if not a match but a good blend with the hickory mantle in my living room was daunting. Your agent was very helpful and suggested the special walnut. I wouldn’t have chosen it but she was convinced that was the best match. It is an almost perfect match! I am looking forward to receiving my shelves and getting them installed.

Great sample set!

I like how the sample set comes in a compact box, which makes them easier to transport to client appointments.

Great Finishes

These finishes are helpful! The only thing I would say is I would have loved to have them come in on a chain like what is shown on your website so I can keep track of them better..

Great!! I gave the sample to the client I'm working with and they have ordered the shelves from you yesterday!!

Beautiful but too expensive.

The sample was beautiful but was unable to use the product. As you add length the shelf becomes insanely expensive and not feasible for the project.

Sample looks nothing like picture

Frustrating. I purchased 2 samples and neither look close to the picture online.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to capture exactly what a stain is going to look like in a picture. Colors vary depending on the piece of wood and lighting. Computer monitors can also affect the visual appearance. This is why we suggest ordering samples. We want our customers to feel confident in their color choice before ordering. Let us know if there is anything we can do to find a better match for you.
