Soot is a beautiful shade of black that boasts blue and grey undertones. With a medium LRV (light reflective value) this black reflects light and adds dimension to your shelves. Soot is one of Benjamin Moore’s most popular colors and though these shelves are perfect for spooky season, they’ll look great in your home all year round. With dark hues trending in the world of home decor, Soot shelves are a great choice when you’re looking for a dark, cool tone but don’t want a basic black or navy.

Cut to your desired length, depth, and thickness. We offer a variety of paint colors or you can leave them primed and paint them yourselves.  

The back of the shelf is routed for the bracket making the shelf sit flush against wall. The shelves are also pre-drilled for the bracket rods making your installation time as short as 15 minutes.

Allow 1-2 weeks for production on all floating shelves + 3-5 business days for shipping. We ship via UPS Ground from Rigby Idaho.  

Shipping Guarantee - If your product is damaged in shipping, take a picture of your shelves and email them to support@ultrashelf.com and we will replace your shelves at no cost to you. Note: We do not issue refunds for damaged product.

Returns

*Because our shelves are custom made to order and we offer so many sizes, wood types, and colors we are unable to resell returned items. Because of this we are unable to accept returns for our shelves.  

If you feel you did not receive what you were expecting such as a wrong color, email us pictures of your shelves to support@ultrashelf.com and we will work together to resolve the issue. Your satisfactions is of great importance to us!

Determine your desired location for your shelf

With your pencil, mark where the left and right edge of the shelf will be.

Now that you know where the left and right edge of the shelf will be, next step is to mark, with your pencil, where the center of the shelf will be.

Using a level and pencil, draw a horizontal line marking where the top of the bracket will be.

Using a stud finder and pencil, mark the outside edges of the studs.

Place your bracket on the wall aligning the center of the bracket with your center line that you drew from step 3 and align the top of the bracket with the horizontal line from step 4

Using a power drill and supplied screws and drill bit, drill the screws into the studs. Note: You only have to drill screws along the top of the bracket.

Slide your shelf onto the bracket - You're done! Wasn't that simple! Now the fun part - style your shelves!
