Shelf sample shipped to your door
Not sure if the shelf you see in our images will match your current color scheme? Order a sample and we'll ship you a block of wood with the finish you choose so you can decide with confidence.
We choose to use MDF for our painted floating shelves instead of a hard wood so that there are no imperfection to guarantee a smooth finish when painted. It is dense enough to provide a high quality shelf but soft enough to absorb the paint. MDF(medium density fiber board) is made by breaking down hardwood into wood fibers, than combining it with wax and a resin binder. It is formed into panels by applying high temperature and pressure.
All our floating shelves include a wall mounted hidden bracket. A patent pending design with pre-drilled holes at every inch so you can fasten them to your wall studs no matter your stud placement. The shelf is built ready to hang. Simply screw the bracket to the studs and slide the shelf over the bracket.
You can get your shelf anywhere from 12" to 72" long. We are able to cut to the 1/8" so that it can fit your space exactly. For example if you need a shelf that is 15 2/8", select 16" and then below that, let us know the exact length you need.
Then you'll need to select how deep you want your shelf. The depth of your shelf can be in any inch increment from 6" to 12".
Our painted shelves come 2", 3" or 5" thick veneer shelves. Our 2" veneer shelf has a solid medium density fiberboard inside while are 3" and 5" shelves have Medium density fiberboard ribs.
Ordered 2 - 30” shelves that were incredibly well made and made with obvious care and attention.
Fair. The shelves look nice once installed and are very sturdy. The bracket for installation is very strong and allows for various wall stud locations. However, after installing the bracket and taking a great deal of time to make sure it was level in all directions, the shelf itself (when slid onto the LEVEL bracket) is not level and tilts. This was an issue with all 4 bracket/shelf units I installed. "Straightening" the bracket is not possible as they are very strong and stiff (made of very good steel and very well built). I understand the difficulty with installation of floating shelves in general, however I would have expected a closer tolerance for installation with these well built, custom made shelves.
Great shelves for my laundry room. I needed the bracket as I only had one stud and this worked perfectly.
