Maybe it’s because we’ve been sitting in feet of fluffy white snow for a few months now, but we’ve been so drawn to the color yellow this month. Yellow is predicted to make a big splash in the fashion industry this year, and we are more than okay with that. Yellow is a bright, happy color that promotes positivity and creativity. And because we’re not quite ready to add yellow into our home decor in a big way, we’ll definitely be rocking it in our clothing choices. We can’t be the only ones who dress creatively to boost creativity. You’ll find us dressing more unapologetically and fun in 2022 — thanks to the color yellow.

Wallpaper gets a big yes from us and it’s got us excited to give our home a fresh look. Wallpaper has made big strides in the last decade and there are more options than ever when it comes to fun patterns to adorn your walls. We’ve seen more and more feature walls with wallpaper behind floating shelves and we love the big impact that comes with a little pattern. You can use traditional paper or peel-and-stick to create a full new look in any room of the home.
We’ve got plans to add some moody green wallpaper to our bathroom after seeing so many spaces transformed by pretty paper. We’re planning on adding walnut shelving too, which is going to be *chefs kiss*.

Mudrooms are having a moment where beauty meets true functionality and we could not be more excited. We may be watching too many home renovation shows lately (we’ve been watching a lot) but mudrooms have us in an absolute chokehold. We love seeing these functional spaces transform into stunning spaces that amplify the overall look and feel of the home. We’ve even seen parts of garages transformed into pseudo mudrooms and yes, feature floating shelves. Needless to say, we love the design we’ve been seeing going into mudrooms and yes, it’s got us inspired.

If you don’t know this about us now, you might not know us at all: we love the marriage of form, function, and beauty. We also love anything that feels personal and sentimental. This kid’s art quilt checks all the boxes for us and we could not be more obsessed with it. During the winter months, we are always looking for a fun way to keep the little kids entertained. This art quilt is a family art project that doubles as decor.
If you want the blanket to match a specific look in your home, pick colors that match the color scheme of the room and let your kids color to match the aesthetic. This unstructured quilt is whimsical, fun, nostalgic, and has us thinking about all of the ways we can incorporate the littlest members of our family into our home. Consider us inspired.

We spend a lot of time looking at charcuterie boards, thinking about charcuterie boards, styling charcuterie boards, and eating off of charcuterie boards. What we don’t spend a lot of time doing? Making canapes. But after seeing these darling canapes by the Food Fox, we’ll definitely be adding these cute kabobs to our next charcuterie board. After seeing these canapes, we spent an hour (or more) searching for more canape ideas on Pinterest, and we were not disappointed. For the first time in a while, we’re excited to get to the kitchen and start assembling!
